"On 3rd March 2023 PRIS and Singapore Polytechnic School of Chemical & Life Sciences (SP-CLS) has jointly organized the customised workshop for The Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST) Ministry of Education (MOE) on Polymers And Their Applications which was conducted at the Singapore Polytechnic Materials Performance Centre."

  • APPLIED POLYMERIC MATERIAL TECHNOLOGIES AND PROCESSING TECHNIQUES TRAINING

    Date : 9th & 10th March 2023
    Venue : Singapore Polytechnic Materials Performance Centre

    Polymeric materials are widely used in many industrial applications, spanning from medical, aerospace, food to electronics. Though, basic polymer processing activities are no longer carried out in Singapore nowadays, expertise in polymer technologies, product design and processing techniques are still very much needed in various Singapore industries

    The purpose of this training course, jointly organized by Singapore Polytechnic School of Chemical & Life Science (SP-CLS) and the Plastics & Rubber Institute of Singapore (PRIS), is to provide a platform to upgrade polymer materials and processing technologies of personnel working in material related areas to meet the needs of Singapore industries. The training will be conducted by instructors with many years of industrial experiences in materials technologies and polymer processing. Hand-on sessions will be conducted in the Materials Performance Centre of Singapore Polytechnic. Certificate of attendance will be issued to participants who complete the training successfully.

    The closing date for registration is 1st March 2023.

"On 4th March 2022, PRIS and Singapore Polytechnic School of Chemical & Life Sciences (SP-CLS) has jointly organized the customised workshop in Industrial Polymers & Nanomaterials Applications. PRIS instructors provides the training on the sciences and application of nanomaterials, CLS instructors provides the training on synthesis and characterisation of nanomaterial in Lab."

    PRIS WORKSHOP REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

    We would like to inform all that registration for the Applied Polymeric Material Technologies and Processing Techniques Training on 10th & 11th December 2020 is now closed as we have reached the maximum number of participants limit in view of COVID-19 Safe Management Measures for the training setup.   • Workshop on Applied Polymeric Material Technologies and Processing Techniques Training

    Two-day training course
    Training Date: 10th & 11th December 2020.

    On 10th and 11th Dec 2020, PRIS and Singapore Polytechnic School of Chemical & Life Science (SP-CLS) has jointly organized the Fourth run of training course on Applied Polymer Material Technologies and Processing Techniques Training. We have additional practical training on mechanical testing this round.

    Participants are concentrating on learning the injection molding operation from training instructor, Mr. Tan Peng Saw, SP.

2018

  • Workshop on Applied Polymeric Material Technologies and Processing Techniques Training


    Two-day training course
    Training Date: 8th and 9th March 2018.

    A two days Training workshop co-organized with SP-CLS at the Materials Performance Center, SP.

    Total of 27 participants from various sectors of plastic material, processing and trading. All participants also have hand-on training on the operation and trouble shooting of injection molding process.

    The feedback of the workshop was very good and committee will take consideration on all the feedbacks and improve in the next workshop.
